As the first women’s cycling race in the world, Tour of Scandinavia (Ladies Tour of Norway AS) has been Eco-Lighthouse certified.
In collaboration with Viken County Municipality, we have worked hard to organize ourselves so that we could meet the requirements for this certification, and in June we were informed that all requirements had been met, and we are thus Environmental Lighthouse certified.
Being Eco-lighouse certified means that we has fulfilled strict requirements within the following areas:
- Waste sorting and recycling
- Sustainable procurement including local foods, drinks and accommodation
- Environmental transportation
- Energy efficiency
- HES and work environment
